ABOUT LONDON
BRIDGE-NVO
Ana Jakic, prime founder of London Bridge NVO has over 20 years’
teaching experience of English at all levels through to that of
lecturer in Modern English at the University of Montenegro. She
additionally holds the position of UK Cambridge University Oral
Examiner. She is also experienced in providing private tuition
for private, corporate and administrative clients. Ana has been
organising English language summer schools since 1998 - to
enable students and working professionals to improve their
language skills and to broaden their cultural insights. In the
UK she has also taught English to students of several other
nationalities. She additionally has had practical experience
through periods spent working in industry and commerce. She
continues to act as interpreter and translator to various
commercial, municipal and governmental organisations.
Though run democratically as a team effort, by which the whole
is greater than the sum of its individual parts, Ana is
primarily responsible for having set the high standards and
teaching principals by which London Bridge operates in all of
its locations.
London Bridge-NVO is proud to be involved with the very best
teachers of English in the region. Our guiding principle and our
advantage is not primarily that of academic prowess, but in
having the in-built self-motivation and ability to convey
knowledge and skills to others – in short, the ability to teach
effectively.
London Bridge regularly provides services to major manufacturing
industry and also to professional representatives of various
bodies such as health, nature and tourism organisations.
London Bridge works closely in co-operation with the University
Department of English in support of its aims and objectives and
those of Education Ministries where striving for positive
development to the benefit of the region and its peoples.

• Guided familiarisation tours in the UK for those wishing to be
introduced to aspects of British culture and gain further
experience in the use of English
• Combined language training with au pair programme in the UK

Aim
In today’s global village, in both social and economic terms, it
is increasingly important for current and future generations to
have the ability to communicate clearly in the commonly
understood international language of English, not only for
reasons of personal fulfilment and advancement but also for the
overall benefit of the region.
We remain as proud as anyone of our language, our culture and
our differences, having no wish to see the world become a
monotonous place where everywhere all becomes exactly alike.
However, we should be taking advantage of those things we can
offer to the wider world to our benefit and taking all the steps
to avoid exploitation and losing out through any lack of
understanding of how the wider world operates through an
essential ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Our aim is simply to provide those services (see About London
Bridge) which help to improve the standard of English and
thereby international social understanding and commercial acumen
of any Montenegrin citizen thereby able to benefit.
